| Establishment of the Company Clancy Construction was formed in the 1940’s by John Clancy. His aim was to provide high quality construction in his local area. The firm was based at Drangan, Thurles, and quickly built up a thriving business in the local private housing sector. The firm grew steadily over the following three decades establishing a reputation for quality construction. In the 1980’s his sons were appointed as Directors and set about rapidly expanding the company. In 1986, Clancy Construction completed its first large scale Residential Development at Ikieran Court in Thurles. By the late 1990’s Clancy Construction was seeking new areas in which to develop and expand its activities. In 2003, the company made a significant step in developing its management expertise, and appointed three non-family Directors. This was part of a strategic development plan to implement a substantial growth strategy. In 2006 Clancy Construction opened a Regional Office in Dublin and Cork. It is our intention to establish a strong business centre in both areas backed up by our Head Office in Drangan.
