Position Summary    
Based in our Dublin headquarters, the Bid Writer will assist the Bid Manager and an established bid team in producing best in class submission documents, for both public and private sectors across multiple industry sectors in different geographical regions.  The Bid Writer will scope, co-ordinate, prepare, write and submit tenders and business growth proposals to support the business development strategy.  

Role and Responsibilities   
  • Provide technical and commercial writing skills (Construction related)
  • Produce costing information to help bidding decision making
  • Objectively review bid submissions and suggest changes/improvements
  • Maintain a schedule of all bid proposals
  • Maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Engage with colleagues, partners and delivery partners to secure appropriate input to the bid
  • Prepare expressions of interest, prequalification questionnaires, SAQ’s etc. (Stage 1 tendering across the company in line with bid management processes) 
  • Assist in the collation of content for all submission documents and tailor as required. This will include key Linesight methodology, technical capabilities, CVs, project sheets (writing new content, editing existing)     
  • Assist in the maintenance of the submissions tracker (submissions issued/won/lost)     
  • Maintain chosen filing structure (document management system) for all submissions     
  • Update and maintain a database of all existing marketing materials for submissions, including curriculum vitae, project information, company data, references etc.     
  • Maintain database for CV’s and project references 

Desired Experience and Education    
  • Previous experience completing prequalification’s and tenders within the construction industry     
  • 3rd level education (Project Management / APMP desirable) 
  • Experience with project proposals and budget construction
  • Excellent organizational skills      
  • A clear and thorough communication style both verbally and in written form
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Adobe InDesign – creative suite and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access     
  • A team player, keen to help out and able to multi-task on a variety of areas     
  • Ability to deliver on tight deadlines and produce high quality work under pressure     
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills     
  • Drive, initiative, resourcefulness  with a positive outlook     
  • Highly collaborative nature with ability to work with others across a growing company     
  • The ideal candidate will be results driven, self-motivated and resourceful with excellent client relationship skills
