Our client is a leading infrastructure contractor who now require a Pre-Construction Officer for the construction and installation of gas network infrastructures.

This is a long-term project that will run for 2+ years.

Description

The Operations Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling all PE Distribution works in a given regional area, their primarily responsibility is to maintain all Operational Plans and Forecasts at an operational level to ensure the business requirements and deliver targets are accurately planned.

Reporting directly to the Lead Planner as part of the Planning Team, the Operations Scheduler will work closely with the Lead Planner, QS, Preconstruction team and Site Manager.

They will be responsible for the maintenance of a robust plan, achieved through all aspects of operations planning and management including, but not limited to: maintaining a programme; leading the cell planning reviews, managing Action Logs, regular and accurate delivery.

Reporting, proactive stakeholder engagement both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct successful planning meetings
  • Update client systems
  • Ensure comunication around programme requirements, stock, road opening licences.
  • Develop weekly programmes for delivery
  • Engage with customers both domestic and commercial to arrange appointments.
  • Proactively identify and highlight any progress issues which threaten successful delivery of The Plan.
  • Identify constraints and risks within projects to produce an effective and accurate plan
  • Will refer any issues that threaten project delivery to the Lead Planner
  • Works within procedures at all times

Skills Required:

  • Strong IT skills within microsoft packages
  • Working knowledge of planning packages, P6, Microsoft Project would be a benefit but not essential
  • Strong communication skills are essential
