Tender Engineer / Bid Administrator

SSA Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Construction & Civil Engineering Co based in Galway who have operations in Ireland, the UK and Internationally and are one of the leading companies in their market sector.
Due to continuous expansion they need to strengthen their bid support / tendering department with the following person
Bid Writer / Pre-Qualification Engineer
Galway                                                           €50k
The company has an option to look at the role in a number of ways and are open to either
An experienced non engineering profile in marketing, IT or similar, with strong marketing / presentation skills (use of Adobe InDesign)
An Engineering / Technical profile, who has the technical knowledge combined with strong IT / presentation skills
The company are seeking someone with previous experience in the preparation of PQQ / Suitability Questionnaires for Tender submissions, who has experience within the Construction Industry (ideally Civil Engineering contracting), and with excellent IT skills in relation to presentation of Company information (formatting, preparing Organisational Flowcharts, photos, writing some narrative, advertisements, etc.)
Your role will include the ability to draft/amend company project reference sheets, CVs, source/retrieve Project specific information from contract documents/by directly contacting site staff, interpret the PQQ/Tender requirements and produce accurate, descriptive, articulate, concise, information as appropriate
The successful candidate will be required to:
Provide administrative support to the Tendering Department
Prepare tender prequalification documents
Complete tender Prequalification Questionnaires / Suitability Assessment Questionnaires  (RFI / RFQ ) and general  construction tender documentation to a high standard for submission
Prepare and improve upon tender documentation presentation graphics and formats 
Co-ordinating input from a variety of internal & external sources

Relevant Third Level qualification with experience working in a civil engineering consultancy firm, and/or onsite experience, is a distinct advantage
Previous marketing and tender/bid coordination experience in similar environment preferable, but not mandatory. 
A good working knowledge of MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.) is essential.
Knowledge of desktop publishing software such as Adobe is an advantage

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage / work to deadlines

Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Good interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with people at all levels
