Technical/BIM Co-ordinator required for medium sized-main contractor based in North Dublin.

Ideal candidate will have worked as a Site Engineer or Architect for a main contractor or a designer and is experienced in drafting using Revit or equivalent 3d drafting software including AutoCAD.

The person will co-ordinate and develop the building design to meet company’s requirements based on feedback from the construction team and associated liaison with external design teams.

They will play a key part in co-ordinating the development of the BIM model including BIM Execution Plan and implementing the associated deliverables from the BEP across the project. They will be self-motivated, good communicators and be able to work without supervision to ensure successful implementation.

 Requirements

  • Proficient in Revit, Navisworks,
  • Design experience
  • Technical training
  • Problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering/ Architecture
  • 2-3 years experienced in construction sector

 Accountabilities/Requirements

  • Safety Health & Environmental, Be familiar with Safety & Environmental policies
  • Understand SH&E requirements affecting design decisions
  • Liaise with PSDP as appropriate Compliance with SHE policies/ procedures
  • Temporary works are co-ordinated
  • Service Delivery Liaise with construction team to optimise design configuration
  • Review and amend designs to reflect site requirements
  • Devise and produce BIM Execution Plans
  • Co-ordinate the federation of models to clash-detect
  • Carry out 4D and 5D modelling as necessary
  • Communicate site roll-out of BIM strategies
  • Train and demonstrate to Site Engineers the use of Surveying Instruments and recording of as-built surveys, data Efficiencies are obtained in construction based on optimised design
  • Construction delays or errors are eliminated through effective design
  • Site team have clear direction on the design
  • Liaison with design teams ensures accurate and efficient updating and communication of drawings           
  • Prepare BIM execution plans where necessary
  • Review designs and identify inefficiencies
  • Review supplier workshop drawings and co-ordinate to eliminate errors Cost effective designs are obtained
  • Scheduling - Adhere to project scheduling in delivering design promptly
  • Illustrate scheduling through 5D modelling Programme is maintained
  • Establish and maintain skills for the development and delivery of a BIM strategy
  • Monitor and identify resource requirements to ensure project deliverables are met         
  • Project delivery is adequately resourced
  • Business Relationships   Maintain good relationships with site staff
  • Ensure professional conduct is maintained with external clients/ designers/ subcontractors          
  • Stakeholders are satisfied with relationships
  • BIM implementation reflected at As-built Stage
  • BIM Execution Plans issued
  • Timesheets Reports issued to Accounts
  • BIM effectively implemented on time
  • Reports issued on time
