Shamrock Civil Engineering is a reputable mid-tier civil construction contractor with well-established connections in the Australian civil construction and mining industries. We are currently seeking Project Managers and Engineers to join our diverse team in Queensland, Australia.

Interviews will be conducted in Ireland, in the first week of January, with details to be confirmed with shortlisted applicants.
 
In your employment you can look forward to duties that include but are not limited to:
  • Set direction and goal for the successful delivery of the project.
  • Ensure the terms of the project contract are adhered to throughout the life of the project.
  • Review project and contractual documentation on successful tenders.
  • Prepare project construction programs in conjunction with the project team.
  • Identify critical project construction stages and schedule appropriate project meetings.
  • Receiving Requests for Information (RFI's) from construction sites interpreting, documenting and forwarding to clients. 
  • Preparing progress claims.
  • Monitor and maintain the project budget and prepare monthly cost reports.
  • Ensure day works and variation notifications are identified, recorded, submitted and priced as per the Client Variation Control Procedure.
  • Ensure all hazards and risks are identified and controlled including HSEQ, contractual, commercial and political.
 
You will be qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related discipline. You must have at least 5 years' experience in Civil Construction.
You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
  • A sound understanding of the construction industry including modern construction techniques.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • A demonstrated high level of focus on safety, environmental and quality systems and requirements.
  • Contracts management.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • A good level of computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, Project and Vista.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project methodologies.
