Job Description Candidates should have prior experience on building projects with main contractors. Candidates with experience working on major building works are highly regarded. Candidates will be technically competent, good team players with the drive to succeed within a main contracting environment. Reports to: Senior Supervisor/Manager's Position Purpose To achieve optimum production and cost outcomes through the management of direct labour and subcontractors in a healthy and safe work environment. Dimensions + Scope of the Position * Dimension balance for this role: * Technical 20% * Scheduling 50% * People 30% Accountabilities Safety, Health + Environment Management * Contribute towards a culture of "Safety and Health above all else" and environmental responsibility by * implementing SH + E policy, procedures and legislative requirements * monitoring SH + E performance within area of responsibility * demonstrating commitment to SH + E through, personal example, leadership and participation in monitoring of established working practices * ensuring all staff and contractors are appropriately trained and inducted into company SH + E standards and comply with company SH + E procedures * providing training and direction to team members in relation to safety and health, ensuring that correct equipment is used and, where appropriate, taking corrective action to ensure company SH + E standards are met * ensuring emergency procedures are in place * holding regular meetings addressing safety standards and issues * creating and communicating safe work method statements and undertaking risk analysis * All staff and contractors within area of responsibility comply with SH + E standards and procedures. * Reduced frequency of injuries or incidents within area of responsibility Project Delivery
