The Finishing Foreman is responsible for the management of Finishing Trade Sub-Contractors and personnel on site to ensure successful completion of the project on time, within budget and to the highest standards.  He/She will ensure that the quality of the product is of the highest standard.  You will have a keen eye for detail with the ability to finish high profile projects to the highest standard.  Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with the Site Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Senior Engineer, and Services Co-ordinator.  The finishing foreman will be responsible for high class quality finishes
Principle Duties & Accountabilities
  • Liaising with
    • Finishing Trade Sub-Contractors: to ensure programmes are maintained and services are co-ordinated effectively
    • Site Manager : Sub-Contractors programmes and co-ordination
    • Senior Engineer : engineering details and Sub-Contractors co-ordination
    • Quantity Surveyors: on cost issues
    • Purchasing Manager: procurement of bulk items
    • Quality & Environmental Manager: maintaining site records in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements
    • Site Clerk: material and plant requisitioning
    • H&S Officers: promoting the implementation of the Safety Management System
  • Assisting with the control of plant and equipment on site
  • Compiling labour allocation sheets for all Bennett Direct labour and hired labor involved in finishing trades
  • Maintaining a daily Site Diary recording all manpower levels for finishing trade Sub-Contractors and keeping accurate notes of on-site activities
  • Scheduling weekly Work Programmes for Finishing trades and reviewing weekly progress Reports from the Master Construction Programme
  • Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of standards
  • Dealing with all Health and Safety issues on site
  • Ability to motivate Labourors and sub-contractors
  • Attending Bennett weekly Management Team meetings
  • Provide clear leadership and direction to the site team while maintaining a professional manner is essential 
Qualifications Required:
  • Trade Qualified Carpenter Essential
  • Preferably 8 years Senior Finishing Foreman experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven track record in High-end Residential Projects Essential
