Our client is one of the top Irish Main Construction Companies working in all sectors throughout the industry.

The company are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to work with their team based in their office in Co. Galway.

In this role, you will provide leadership for human resource functions including talent management, employee relations, policies, compliance, performance management, succession planning and organization effectiveness and development.

Primary Responsibilities as a Human Resources Manager

  • Implementing recruiting plans to meet company needs
  • Administering the talent and performance management process including salary administration and performance improvement.
  • Providing employee relations/counselling in a manner that continues good employee relations and strengthens employee morale
  • Leading safety related activities for the site including compliance, root cause investigation, return to work, safety committee meetings/activities, record keeping, and workers compensation.
  • Facilitating workshops and other training off site as necessary.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR
  • 3+ years of HR management experience in construction industry
  • Knowledge of HR processes and laws 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to quickly establish and maintain credibility with employees at all levels.
  • Proficient computer skills
