Mechanical Building Services Design Coordinator – Saudi Arabia
We are currently sourcing CV’s for a Mechanical Building Services Design Co-ordinator based in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. This vacancy is available within one of the world’s leading providers of integrated mechanical and electrical building services. The client is an international M&E engineering group with international offices and a project portfolio spanning over 35 countries providing single and multi-service solutions to a broad network of businesses.
Due to a recent commission of a large-scale commercial headquarters project for a renowned financial institution in Riyadh, the client is urgently seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take on a Design Co-ordinator role to oversee the construction phase design output of this project. The design is environmentally friendly and follows strict sustainable energy guidelines.
This is a contract role for the remnant of the project ( 12 – 16 months) with immediate start date. The M & E Design Co-ordinator will be responsible for a small team of Design Engineers and will be in direct liaison with the client, design, project management and construction teams and will be responsible for performing their own design calculations required for the verification of systems. The Mechanical Building Services Design Co-ordinator will also be expected to deal with materials on site.
The ideal candidate will possess ALL of the following selection criteria:
• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or Building Services)
• A minimum of 10 years experience within the Engineering field with at least 4 most recent years having spent in an on-site role
• Preferably previous consultancy/design experience in the early career stages
• Experience working in the Middle East in particular on exclusive high-rise buildings is ESSENTIAL
• Team management and design co-ordination experience with capability to perform design calculations and material co-ordination on site
• Proven track record of large-scale project delivery on time and within budget
This role is a guaranteed 12-month contract and offers the following remuneration package:
- Salary basic of £45K per annum tax free
- Fully expensed and serviced accommodation, transport
- Typically 16 weeks on / 2 weeks off with return flights paid for

- Local living allowance
