A premier house-building company in Ireland isrecruiting for an M&E Coordinatorto join their organisation which is embarking upon a significant growthtrajectory lead by a highly experienced team of exceptional talent frommultiple industries.  This successful candidate will be based in the Greater Dublin area. The successfulcandidate will be working on student accommodation type projects.

 The M&E Coordinator will oversee the Mechanicaland Electrical services design and installation across projects

Responsibilities:

  • Holistic design approach combining numerousprojects, to a similar cost-effective design for both construction andoperational needs
  • Ensuring the needs of the operator and user areincorporated into the project, particularly for security, wifi and heating
  • Coordinate the activity and selection of ourM&E consultants, overseeing the services design process frompreconstruction to handover
  •  Support the construction management teams inthe coordination of on-site M&E installations
  • Review the Energy Performance strategy for newhomes design to ensure optimum building performance, energy efficiency andreduced lifecycle and operating costs
  •  Lead the Innovation Process in considerationand implementation of best-in-class mechanical / electrical systems andproducts
  • Liaise with Public Utility providers to ensuretimely delivery of electricity, gas and telecommunications services to newdevelopments acting as the single point of contact across the portfolio ofCairn student accommodation projects
  • Anticipate the requirement for modification ofexisting site services and expedite mains service diversions in conjunctionwith the Utility Providers

 Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering (Building Services orMechanical & Electrical or equivalent)
  •  5-yr post qualification experience inconstruction management / engineering design
  •  Interest in energy management and emergingtrends in residential building services design and construction
  • Team player, organised, self-motivated
  •  Strong relationship builder
  • Focus on deadlines and commitment to programmedelivery
