Job Description Construction Project Schedulers to work on civils and commercial projects across Canada Create, maintain, monitor, coordinate, and communicate project and estimating schedules for the Office and various Field Operations across Canada Assist the Project Manager to create and monitor the short term schedules and determine the impact on the master schedule Implements sub-trade schedules into the master schedule and have the ability to track progress Create 2D graphical and visual 4D schedules Issue look-ahead schedules for meetings Communicate with site staff and sub-trades to determine the actual construction progress and provide regular schedule updates based on provided information Provide progress reporting to senior staff to ensure sub-trade/crew performance in accordance with milestone dates of schedule Incorporate resource and or load costing data into schedules as required Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge of all scheduling software to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness Help to plan, present and chair scheduling meetings Assist project teams with the development and management of the project schedule Provide schedule training as required
Requirements Minimum 3 years construction scheduling experience with main contractors Proven project experience on large scale Civil/Infrastructure and / or Commercial projects College diploma in engineering or construction related field Understands the CPM and WBS methods of scheduling Knowledge of the Critical Path Scheduling method related to the construction industry Effectively manage a construction schedule Ability to interpret information given regarding construction progress and or delays Able to complete quantity take-offs and understand productivity rates Effective listening skills Effective oral and written communication skills Presentation skills Previous experience with scheduling software- Primavera P3, P6 and Suretrak Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
