Quality Engineer - Dublin 8
A Top 10 contracting client of mine are actively seeking a strong Quality Engineer for their biggest project in Dublin currently.

Reporting to: Quality Manager
Key activities / Result areas

* Being on site to oversee all of the construction process
* Inspect and review works being carried out by directly employed and subcontracted resources and ensure that they are achieving the required quality and standards to the latest information
* Identify and record non-conformances and ensure that corrective measures are taken, taking account the sequence of activities and access requirements. Maintain a register of all observations and record the close out of any remedial works
* Check and monitor site activities, in accordance with general technical guidelines, applicable standards and specific requirements laid down in the specifications, in order to control and record the quality of the work
* Ensure compliance with Safety Quality and Environmental standards on the site and take corrective measures, in accordance with legislation and regulations
* Report on the status of the work to the Quality Manager and Project Manager
* Ensure the works are carried out in accordance with the PMP and with related Method Statements;
* Review and implement the environmental requirements on the project, co-ordinate environmental control measures and report environmental emergencies and incidents
* Provide support to site management on root cause analysis and investigation
* Writing project progress records and progress photos in liaison with the Foreman and Engineers
* Keeping a daily diary
* Assist in the preparation of the safety File and in BC(a)R submissions
* Review and comment on subcontractor, supplier and vendor technical submittals for compliance with the contract and IFC documentation
* Other duties as required

Education + Qualifications

* 8+ years' experience on Major Projects on Civil and Building works
* Building or Civil Engineering degree
* Knowledge of Quality Control and Building Regulations in the construction industry
* Must be proficient in the English language
* Must have a good working knowledge of Word and Excel
* Must be willing to work in a BIM based electronic environment


Your qualifications and experience
REPORTING TO - QUALITY MANAGER (Project)

* A good working knowledge in the area of Quality Control and the associated technology, working methods, subcontractors, storage, scheduling, staffing levels and the use of heavy equipment on large construction projects
* 8+ years' experience on large complex structural and architectural projects
* High level of independence regarding the supervision and decisions based on method statements, materials approved and construction interfaces
