BSS are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor for our client, a top Civil specialist in Tyrone, Northern Ireland.


Through initiative and ambition, our client evolved into a multi-faceted company that provides a range of specialist activities as well as core construction and civil engineering work. The following is a sample of the services currently available from their company:



  • Civil engineering – including road construction.

  • Demolition – including high rise and urban structures.

  • Bridge construction – both repairs and strengthening.

  • Pyrite remediation – strip out and refit.

  • Bulk excavation – including ground remediation.

  • Repairs to historic and listed building structures.

  • Façade Retention and temporary works support systems.

  • Construction – both new build and refurbishment.

The Job Role


In this role you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to the project, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will also be responsible for minimising the costs of the project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality. You will keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability. This should be done with a can do attitude. You will work autonomously using your fit out/construction knowledge to problem solve and make decisions on a daily basis


Essential Qualities & Experience:



  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.

  • Previous experience within a similar role.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.

  • Experience using AutoCAD.

  • Good IT skills.

  • Knowledge of the fit out industry.
