Position Summary:
The Intermediate Quantity Surveyor will support the Associate on a number of projects. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and in conjunction with a team. The Intermediate Quantity Surveyor will represent Linesight at client level and have the ability to cost manage projects and attend meetings with high profile clients. The successful candidate must have CostX experience as this will be a prerequisite for meeting with the Hiring Managers.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates and cost plans for variety of commercial, educational and residential developments using CostX Software 
  • Prepare standard documentation – reports, valuations, letters, financial reports 
  • Prepare tender documents as required by procurement choice 
  • Analyze tenders and prepare tender reports at all stages of procurement 
  • Prepare valuations and cost reports; re-measure as necessary and adjust variations 
  • Assist in the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims 
  • Prepare and agree final accounts 
  • Perform other duties as may reasonably be required for an intermediate cost manager

Desired Experience and Education:
  • Minimum of 4 years post graduate experience
  • Chartered - desirable (final assessment stage)
  • Commercial or private sector experience (desirable)
  • Pre- and post-contract experience
  • Excellent IT skills 
  • CostX experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communications skills 
  • Client facing
  • BSc essential in a construction related discipline
