Site Engineer

Location: Scotland - 10/4 day Rotation

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

Who you’ll be working for:
Tier 1 Civil Engineering main contractor, working on £multi-million, heavy civil projects across Ireland and the UK, currently have a permanent requirement for a Site Engineer, to join them on a permanent basis, working on large scale civil projects across Scotland.

Accommodation and travel provided, working on a rotational basis!!!!

What you’ll need to have:
  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering 
  • GPS setting out experience is essential 
  • Experience with GPS operated machinery would be beneficial 
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and prepare material take-off’s
  • Experience in civil cad would be advantageous 
  • Strong work ethic and desire to progress to section engineer role is required. 
What you’ll be doing:
We are looking to appoint a Site Civil Engineer, for projects in Scotland. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident and motivated with good communication and mathematical skills and able to work independently as well as part of a team. It is vital that they are able to demonstrate a pragmatic and proactive approach to problem-solving and an ability to liaise with site management and client’s representatives as appropriate. They will be required to undertake surveying, setting out and site supervision work while keeping records of all site activities. The work will be a mix of field-based work as well as QA reporting and CAD drafting.

Key responsibilities:
  • Setting out, level and survey operational sites 
  • Attend regular meetings with internal and external project stakeholders 
  • Compile quality control records 
  • Contribute to HSE management onsite 
  • Record and monitor site plant and personnel 
  • Production of asbuilt drawings and information 
What you’ll get in return
Salary will be based on experience and abilities, which will be fully negotiable, along with accommodation when travelling away from home. Basic salary will be in the region of £30,000 - £40,000.
