The number of construction job positions advertised on during August 2017 was up on jobs advertised in June/July 2017, with an increase in the index of 2%. 
There was also an increase of 3% in the number of applications being made through
Top 10 most viewed jobs on August 2017
Of the most viewed jobs on, there was significant interest in Quantity Surveyor jobs and Safety and Environmental jobs being advertised during August.

4.    Environmental Advisor - Scotland

Percentage of jobs advertised by location
The breakdown of construction jobs advertised by location (See Chart) shows change. 
While Dublin continues to dominate there is a slip in overall jobs advertised in Ireland from 79% to 75%, with 25% of jobs advertised being for positions outside of Ireland, up from 21% the previous month.

Too early to say if this is a trend, but it does suggest there may be growing demand for construction and engineering professionals in the UK. It also indicates that there is a growing number of UK-based professionals interested in construction opportunities abroad.

During August, there was no change in the Top 5 locations for job seekers applying for jobs.  Galway has moved into Number 6 slot, a jump of three places on the previous Index.
