Are you a Mechanical Designer with 2D + 3D CAD experience interested in working in multi-discipined teams to develop optimum plant layouts on heavy industry projects? Are you interested in relocating to Australia or Canada and working on exciting large-scale contracts with one of the World's leading EPCm companies? Our client has several openings in its Mining, Metals and Energy businesses for Electrical Designers + Engineers in Perth, Australia or Toronto, Canada. You will participate in a number of Brownfield and Greenfield projects for both front end planning studies and detailed engineering phases of multidisciplinary projects. Working visas for self and family will be arranged and financed by the client on successful negotiation of a contract and full relocation costs and support will be provided.

Job Description
Principal Responsibilities:
* Work in multi-discipline teams to develop optimum plant or equipment layouts
* Develop and check 3D models in an integrated CAD environment.
* Prepare, update, and check mechanical deliverables including general arrangement drawings, detailed drawings, and design sketches
* Participate in formal engineering review processes.
* Provide technical support and mentoring to less experienced staff
* Review drawings and other engineering outputs
* Develop the project specific CAD standards and procedures
Requirements
* Completion of a two- to three-year college program in engineering design and drafting technology or in a related field
* 5 years of related experience
* Experience with 2D and 3D CAD systems.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD, Intergraph PDS, Bentley PlantSpace, 3D MicroStation or SolidEdge would be an asset
* Experience in mining and metals or energy, or other heavy industry would be an asset
* Good understanding of the "level of effort" required for each of the project phases (FEL 1 to FEL 4).
