A Project Engineer for Cork is being recruited by an organisation involved in Automation, Process Control and Instrumentation. This fast-growing company is a leading supplier of products and services to several sectors in the Irish market with expertise in the water and power industries.

This position reports into the Senior Project Manager. This is a permanent position with opportunities for further promotion within an expanding company.

 Responsibilities:
  • Assist in controls and automation designs for projects related to the Water and Waste water industry with Senior Automation Engineers & EICA Manager
  • Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts
  • Liaise with clients, Project Managers and Project Team
  • Liaise with system vendors to source automated solutions 
  • Preparation of project documentation including FDS, H&S and OMM's
  • Responsible for Systems, Software and Electrical Drawings for Projects
  • Performs complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
  • Works to Project budget, schedule, and quality requirements
  • Project Coordination.
  • Travel to other sites on occasion throughout the country.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Previous experience in a technical engineering role
  • Proven experience of producing accurate technical outputs, on time, to budget and to the appropriate quality
  • Full Irish driving license or equivalent
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to work under time pressure and problem solve
