Brightpath Recruitment currently have a vacancy for an Electrical Instrumentation Technician for a progressive young company who operate in the Automation, Process Control and Instrumentation Sectors. This company currently focus their efforts on the Water and Power industries. The business is growing quickly and they have plans to expand into further markets. They are also a leading supplier of PLCs to the Irish market

The position of Instrumentation Technician who is electrically qualified or competent will be based in Cork and reporting to the Service Manager. You will be joining a highly experienced service team providing professional services (Calibration/Validation/Service) both in-house and field based throughout the country. The client base is extensive and covers every key sector of Irish Water industry. This is a permanent position with opportunities for further promotion within an expanding company.
This role is varied day to day but it is also mixed with service Engineers rotation so for some months of the year working in the projects install department which will be more similar day to day for a certain time frame such as 1-4 months dependant on the project length.
Excellent salary and package offered including company van and bonus scheme.
  • This role is mixed between some electrical works, calibration works and service repair
  • Commission of analytical telemetry equipment
  • Some parts of the business are quite niche and some products may be a once off so candidates would have to have a ability to work out some problems with some support from the office but a strong  problem solving ability
  • Project Install work
Experience and Requirements
  • Third level qualification or relevant instrumentation or electrical qualification
  • Experience of Chemical dosing or treatment  / monitoring in water such as Chlorine/ PH, soda ash, aluminium would be an advantage
  • Understanding or flow meters  and general principles of operation
  • A high level of IT skills
  • Flexibility as some work will be in-house and some site based.
  • Demonstrate a positive approach to work and be able to work well unsupervised on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Full clean driving licence and flexible to do some travel
