Position Summary:
The role of the Research Executive is to research, analyze, collate and present industry data for publication across both online and print channels.  Based in Dublin, the successful candidate will be competent and require strong interpersonal skills. The role will involve deriving meaningful insights from raw data, which can then be utilized in updating our online resources and in the writing of our articles and publications. The Research Executive will report directly to the Managing Director of Ireland.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Collate and gather data on assigned projects
  • Conduct primary and secondary research
  • Research statistical information from our own databases
  • Research industry trends and communicate data in a concise and easy-to-understand format, for use by the sales and marketing teams
  • Research and assist with the Linesight Handbook
  • Research and prepare the Irish section of the Linesight Knowledge Center and make sure it is kept up to date as data becomes available
  • Collate the international sections of the Knowledge Center and liaise with regional stakeholders for content, making sure it is kept up to date as data becomes available
  • Extract information currently on our systems and convert data and research findings into concise and easy-to-understand tables, graphs and written reports
  • Prepare reports with actionable recommendations and present results to management

Desired Experience and Education:
  • Degree qualified (e.g. Quantity Surveying)
  • Construction experience (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a research position within a commercial business environment would be beneficial
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
  • Strong math and analytical skills are essential
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional written, oral and presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills, as well as an ability to present results in a clear and concise manner to management and clients
  • Collaborative approach
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to engage with multiple internal stakeholders across all levels of the business internationally 
  • Genuine interest in this field
