Published 14 Aug 2011

RTE News has featured ConstructionJobs.ie regarding Irish workers being sought for the future rebuilding of Christchurch, New Zealand.

The destruction caused by 2011 earthquake's has resulted in the requirement for thousands of residential and commercial properties to be rebuilt.
It is expected to take 15 years to complete and will require thousands of construction workers both technical and trade.

Chief Executive of the Earthquake Commission, Ian Simpson, will be looking to Ireland because of the availability of skills here and because we are an English speaking nation.

As in Australia, cultural similarities will also help Irish worker's adjust quicker to the lifestyle in New Zealand.

ConstructionJobs.ie continues to work closely with New Zealand and Australian contractors and recruiters that will be involved in the rebuild.
