| RTE News has featured ConstructionJobs.ie regarding Irish workers being sought for the future rebuilding of Christchurch, New Zealand. The destruction caused by 2011 earthquake's has resulted in the requirement for thousands of residential and commercial properties to be rebuilt. Chief Executive of the Earthquake Commission, Ian Simpson, will be looking to Ireland because of the availability of skills here and because we are an English speaking nation. As in Australia, cultural similarities will also help Irish worker's adjust quicker to the lifestyle in New Zealand.
