A Tier 1 Civil contractor, about to endeavour on a number of “high profile” civil projects across the Leinster / Dublin area, have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to make the move to commercial, to join a well-established and leading contractor within the civil engineering industry.

The Commercial Manager will have:
The successful candidate will have a degree qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, hold current membership of a relevant professional body, such as the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or the Institute of Commercial Management (desirable).
Key experience of Design Build Contracts is required, along with 7+ years experience working for a main civil engineering contractor, on heavy civil projects.
As Commercial Manager:
We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join an expanding Irish team. You will be required to provide commercial support and manage these prestigious project’s to ensure that all commercial discipline is maintained throughout the duration of the project.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for informing all project staff on commercial issues. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable company who have an excellent company culture and working environment.

The successful applicant will be an experienced individual who has risen through the ranks of the industry, starting either as a civil engineer, construction manager or quantity surveyor.
The role includes the following duties:
- Risk management
- Management & submission of monthly interim valuations
- Contractual Management of Project
- Financial reporting including CVRs,
- Budget forecasting,
- Maximising cash flow
- Commercial correspondence with client
- Report into the Regional Commercial Manager and Regional Director.
- Sub-Contract and materials procurement management
- Management of the supply chain.
The Remuneration package:
The base salary for the position will be €70,000 - €90,000 + package, depending on experience.
The salary will be at the top end and we are looking for candidates who fit the high caliber end of the civil engineering industry, across the UK and Ireland.
