Our client, a household name in Ireland and internationally is embarking on a major expansion and upgrade of its retail facilities throughout Ireland. The expansion project will incorporate; refurbishment, refit, expansion and new-build. Our client is seeking to recruit a Project Manager, to assist in the delivery of a growing list of high profile building construction projects in Dublin and throughout the country. The successful Project Manager will probably be an experienced Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, Architect or similarly qualified construction professional and you will join an expanding team of professionals based in Dublin city.
 
The Role: 
Assisting with compiling the scope, design, cost and planning.
Agreeing budgets, programme and phasing of works.
Selecting contractors and suppliers.
Liaising with Architects, Engineering consultants and Local Authorities.
Providing regular and detailed reports to the Projects Director.
Supervising and coordination on-site construction.
Delivering projects on time and within budget.
Assisting with final accounts.
 
To be considered for the role you must:
Be Degree (level 8) qualified Engineer, Architect, Building Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor or hold similar professional qualifications.
Have more than 3 years post graduate experience in construction design and construction management (buildings).
Have more than 2 years construction management / project management experience.
Have excellent communications and strong negotiation skills.
Hold full driving licence.
Be competent and professional in dealing with diverse stakeholders.
Have experience in the preparation of project briefs and budgets.
Have good working knowledge of building regulations and guidelines.
Have knowledge of Construction contracts (GCCC, RIAI)
Have a proven ability to manage and control agreed budgets and timelines.
Have thorough knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and its potential impact.
Be proficient in the English language (spoken, written, technical).
Be capable of multi-tasking, co-ordinating and delivering multi-projects.
 
Ideally you will:
Have fit-out experience.
Have experience in constructing commercial / retail buildings
Have on-site construction supervision experience.
Have a post graduate qualification in project management (or similar)
Be a member or associate of a professional organisation.(ISCS. RICS, IEI, RIAI)
Have a flexible approach to work and an ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
Have ability to manage multi-discipline projects whilst ensuring all deadlines are met.

Remuneration is negotiable depending on candidate’s experience, suitability and fit for the role, however, the ideal candidate can expect c €60,000 salary + company car + benefits.
