KCM are representing a medium sized growing company based in Kildare in seeking a principal civils estimator to join its team.
The company is expanding at a consistent rate and the role will offer the successful candidate both a long term and progressive career move.
You will report directly to the Commercial director of the company.

You will be required to complete the Company’s tender (both commercial and technical elements) and prequalification submissions, as well as keeping pricing libraries updated.

Typically, 5-10 years’ estimating experience (or greater) in areas similar to Company’s business – which includes: airport infrastructure, urban roadworks, deep drainage, other piped/ ducted utilities, structural concrete work, landscaping/ hardscaping, electricity stations/ substations;

Company predominantly utilises direct labour and own plant, so ability to build up rates from first principals is essential.

Good working knowledge of the following is required:

Standard forms of contract – including Public Works, Engineer’s Ireland, NEC, FIDIC, JCT;

Principal civils methods of measurement and standard specifications – including CESMM and NRA/TII documents;

Software: MS Office suite, including Excel and Project. Estimating/ Valuations software is Causeway (training will be provided). Digital document management system also in place;

Competitive package offered, commensurate with experience.
The role would suit an existing estimator /civil engineer currently already in the Irish market who is looking for a new challenge or a candidate working in the UK or further overseas who wished to return to Ireland.
