A Health and safety manager is required for a Tier One main Contractor in the Dublin region.
As you would expect with a tier One contractor company is engaged in numerous sectors including residential, commercial, hospitality, Phama, industrial and civil both for private and public clients.

Reporting to the company HS Director you will take responsibility for a team of safety officers at varying levels on a number of projects within a given geographical location coordinating a consistent company approach to the H&S activities on these projects.

This is obviously a challenging role that will be supported in full by the management of the company.

This is role is a permanent position and with salary and benefits that will both be market driven in accordance with the importance of the role.

Typical Duties:

• Risk Assessments and overseeing the implementation of controls
• Maintaining the company’s Safety Statement
• Chair regular health & safety meetings on site and with senior management.
• Ensure staff and personnel are kept up to date with training and approved courses.
• Co-ordinate health & safety activities with Company H&S Director and other managers.
• Approve working methods and precautions.
• Approve documentation provided by all sub-contractors
• Carry out site inspections, approve company documentation.
• Ensure staff and personnel are kept up to date with training and approved courses.
• Co-ordinate health & safety activities with other managers.
• Approve working methods and precautions.
• Organising and delivering Training to meet statutory requirements including Induction training of new employees

Requirements

• Minimum: Diploma in Health & Safety
• Minimum 8 years post graduate experience with 5 con construction projects
• Able to communicate well at all levels
• Passionate regarding Health and Safety
• Disciplined with a keen eye for detail
• Computer literate with an excellent command of computer applications
