Land Surveyor Rail

KCM Recruitment Ltd are currently seeking a land surveyor preferably with two years post-graduate experience to work on a rail rehabilitation program stretching from the East to the South of the country.
The project will last a number of years and your employment will be direct with the client
You will be based out the central office in Laois but will need to travel to different locations on the line between Dublin and Cork.
You will be responsible for undertaking land/topographic/hydrographic/measured surveys, using a variety of specialist equipment and technology, such as GPS and Total Stations
Analysing data using plans, maps, charts and software such as AutoCAD and GIS (geographic information systems) programs is an important part of this role.
You’ll coordinate with the Site Engineers for the priority of the project regarding implementation, changes of plans or deviations, unusual activities or non-conformances rectification work etc.
You will carry out Topographical and Engineering Surveys (Laser Scanner).
• Qualification in Land Survey, or Geomatics, or equivalent ( level 7 or 8).
• Experience within a similar role would be an advantage
• Good communication (both written and verbal) skills.
• Solid report writing and compilation skills.
The salary for the role is scaled according to experience but will be in the 45K -55K range with transport provided.
