Mechanical & Electrical Coordinator – Sandyford
Top 5 Main Contractor
To €100K DOE + full package
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all building services are coordinated with other construction activities, from specification and procurement through to the installation, testing and commissioning of services on large-scale commercial & residential building projects in Sandyford.
Manage all service installations in accordance with specifications
Manage Services Contractors and other related Subcontractors
Review & report on specifications and design drawings to ensure appropriate service/design decisions are met
Developing design proposals at sketch, detailed design and production stages
Planning and managing Design Team Drawings (e.g. AutoCAD)
Facilitating the flow of information between the Design Team and Services Subcontractors
Liaise with design teams and MEP sub-contractors
Ensure MEP sub-contractors receive the information needed to progress the MEP installation in accordance with the programme
Organise and chair weekly co-ordination meetings with the MEP sub-contractors and design teams
Ensure MEP sub-contractors produce the following documents: Coordinated MEP drawings Procurement schedules Programmes Progress reports Requests for information
Coordinate the production of the following documents at practical completion: As built drawings O&M manuals
Relevant Diploma/Degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
5+ years' experience as a M&E Engineer, MEP, Technical Coordinator, Building Services Coordinator or M&E Project Manager in building sector projects such as commercial, residential, education etc.
Experience and proficiency with IT systems and knowledge of AutoCAD.
Ability to work in teams, to be organised self-starter and possess strong oral and written communication skills
