Our client is a very well-established Tier One Main Contractor, involved in a number of high-profile projects nationwide. They specialise in all aspects of build construction including commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, education, industrial and fit out projects.

They require a construction planner to add to their existing team to report to the company planning manager.

Job Description

You will be involved in providing full project planning support from pre-tender stage to completion.

At pretender stage you will ensure that the tender programme is translated into a consolidated project programme encompassing design, procurement and operations.

The role will also involve working with bid and construction teams to manage and control the planning and programming aspects of bid proposals and multiple projects in progress.

Scheduling labour, selecting of major plant and access equipment

Preparing detailed working programmes.

Produce the Procurement & Information Required Schedules from the Contract Programme.

Coordinate with site management in relation to planning requirements.

Prepare progress reports based on base line programme and critical path and any required rescheduling

Maintain records and as-built programme

Provide detailed package delivery programmes for inclusion in Package Tenders

Assist with the development of logistic plans

Assist with the development of method statements

Development of Project Controls procedures

Desired Skills & Experience

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline

Experiences with software packages such as Asta Power Project/Microsoft Project/ Primavera P6 Software Packages

5-10 years proven experience

Previous experience on large scale projects is desirable

Excellent communication, presentation and people management skills
