Assistant Project/Construction Manager - Dublin region
Do you want to be a key part of transformative residential and regeneration projects where you will gain experience in the full development life cycle of large-scale projects from acquisition through to delivery and operation?
In this role, you will join a state body that will act as a Developer (not unlike existing private residential developers) to accelerate the delivery of new homes throughout Ireland. You will have a key position here and will make an impact in the construction sector on a national scale.
Your role will involve:
As Assistant Project/Construction Manager, you will assist in day-to-day management related to the acquisition, planning, procurement, construction and operational stages of a project. Responsibilities can also include:
- The development of the project brief including project scope definition, programme development and budget development
- The appointment of design teams and other support functions
- Supporting the Project Team during the preparation of planning permissions, statutory applications, the site acquisition process
- The administration and management of all project documents
- Providing support to the management of the contract during the operational phase
You will need:
- A third level technical qualification in construction or development related area
- At least 2 years' experience in a relevant area
- A willingness to take on new responsibilities and the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team within a well-defined project organisation structure
- A keen commercial awareness
- A full clean driving license as some site travel will be required
An understanding of technical principles such as the planning system, construction buildability, technical solutions value engineering would be an advantage.
