Assistant Project Manager Project Engineer -Buildings Construction

Our client, a semi-state organisation, is undertaking a major construction development programme and is seeking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager Project Engineer, to assist in the delivery of the growing list of hi-tech critical building construction projects in the greater Dublin area. The successful Assistant Project Manager will probably be an experienced Engineer, Building Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, Architect or similarly qualified professional and you will join an expanding team of professionals based in west Dublin.
To be considered for the role you must:
Be Degree (level 8) qualified Engineer, Architect, Building Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor or hold similar professional qualifications.
Have more than 3 years post graduate experience in Construction Design and Construction Management roles (buildings).
Have more than 1 years Construction Management / Project Management experience.
Have good communications and negotiation skills.
Be competent and professional in dealing with diverse stakeholders.
Have experience in the preparation of briefs and budgets.
Have good knowledge of building regulations and guidelines.
Have knowledge of Construction contracts (GCCC, RIAI)
Have a proven ability to manage and control agreed budgets and timelines.
Be familiar with Health & Safety legislation.
Be proficient in the English language (spoken, written, technical).
Be capable of multi-tasking, co-ordinating and delivering multi-projects.
Ideally you will:
Have experience in constructing medical facilities / pharmaceutical facilities or similar hi-tech clean, highly regulated buildings / facilities.
Be a Quantity Surveyor or Building Services Engineer.
Have on-site construction supervision experience.
Have knowledge and awareness of EU Procurement legislation.
Be a member or associate of a professional organisation.(ISCS. RICS, IEI, RIAI)
Have a flexible approach to work and an ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
Have ability to manage complex multi-discipline projects whilst ensuring all deadlines are met.
Attractive long-term contract role. Immediate vacant position.
Remuneration is negotiable depending on candidate’s experience, suitability and fit for the role. The ideal candidate can expect c €50,000 per annum.
