Project Manager/ Project Engineer - Buildings Construction

Our client, a state organisation, is embarking on a major construction programme of refurbishment and new-build and is seeking to recruit a Project Manager Project Engineer, to assist in the delivery of these hi-tech, critical environment buildings construction projects in the Munster & south Leinster area.
The successful Project Manager will probably be an experienced Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, Architect or similarly qualified professional and will join an expanding team of construction professionals based in Kilkenny and report to the Facilities Director
To be considered for the role you must:
Be Degree (level 8) qualified Engineer, Architect or Quantity Surveyor or hold similar professional qualifications.
Have more than 5 years post graduate experience in Construction Design and Construction Management roles (buildings).
Have relevant Construction Management / Project Management experience.
Have on-site construction supervision experience.
Have strong communications, negotiation and influencing skills.
Be competent and professional in dealing with diverse stakeholders.
Have thorough knowledge of building regulations and guidelines.
Have an acute appreciation and understanding of Health & Safety issues and legislation.
Have knowledge of Construction contracts (GCCC, RIAI)
Have a proven ability to manage and control agreed budgets and timelines.
Be proficient in the English language (spoken, written, technical).
Be capable of multi-tasking, co-ordinating and delivering multi-projects.
Have full driving licence and own suitable means of transport.
Ideally you will:
Have experience in design & constructing healthcare / medical facilities / pharmaceutical facilities or similar hi-tech clean, highly regulated facilities.
Have contracts management experience.
Have Public Sector Procurement experience.
Be chartered in your profession or working towards chartered.
Have a successful track record of dealing with diverse stakeholders.
Have a flexible approach to work and an ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
Have ability to manage complex multi-discipline projects whilst ensuring all deadlines are met.
Based in the wonderful medieval city of Kilkenny.

Paid generous annual leave + travel expenses.
Remuneration is negotiable depending on candidate’s experience, suitability and fit for the role. The ideal candidate can expect a salary c €55,000 per annum
