Project Manager Project Engineer -Construction

Our client, a semi-state organisation, is embarking on a major construction programme and is seeking to recruit a Project Manager Project Engineer, to assist in the delivery of a growing list of hi-tech critical construction projects in the south Leinster area.
Services include; design, specification, project management, supervision and procurement associated with capital building and refurbishment projects including public private partnerships (PPP), PPP contract management, risk and asset management, property services, fire, health and safety.
The successful Project Manager will probably be an experienced Engineer, Building / Quantity Surveyor, Architect or similarly qualified professional and will join an expanding team of professionals based in Kilkenny (south Leinster).
To be considered for the role you must:
Be Degree (level 8) qualified Engineer, Architect or Quantity Surveyor or hold similar professional qualifications.
Have more than 10 years post graduate experience in Construction Design and Construction Management roles (buildings).
Have relevant Construction Management / Project Management experience.
Have on-site construction supervision experience.
Have strong communications, negotiation and influencing skills.
Be competent and professional in dealing with diverse stakeholders.
Have thorough knowledge of building regulations and guidelines.
Have excellent knowledge of Construction contracts (GCCC, RIAI)
Have a proven ability to manage and control agreed budgets and timelines.
Be proficient in the English language (spoken, written, technical).
Be capable of multi-tasking, co-ordinating and delivering multi-projects.
Ideally you will:
Have experience in constructing healthcare / medical facilities / pharmaceutical facilities or similar hi-tech clean, highly regulated facilities.
Have PPP construction projects experience.
Be a Quantity Surveyor or Building Services Engineer.
Be Chartered in your profession or about to be.
Have a successful track record of dealing with diverse stakeholders.
Have a flexible approach to work and an ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
Have ability to manage complex multi-discipline projects whilst ensuring all deadlines are met.

Remuneration is negotiable depending on candidate’s experience, suitability and fit for the role. The ideal candidate can expect a salary c €70,000 per annum.
