Project Manager (utilities)

Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor who specialise in water, gas, telecoms and power projects throughout Ireland. They have a history of successfully completing projects on time and within budget for private and public clients over the past 30 years.
Due to continued growth our client now has a vacancy for a Project Manager to work in the Dublin area.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for running numerous projects within urban and rural environments.
  • Commercially aware of projects costs, and reporting to a Contracts Manager.
  • Liaising and corresponding with client and Client Representative to enable the successful delivery of projects, and building of relationships.
  • Review drawings with a high level of detail.
  • Study design briefs and prepare proposed design packs (PDP).
  • Implementing client and company design standards across the project team.
  • Leadership of the project design team.
  • Liaising with Contracts Manager and Site Agents to manage work and site resource requirements.
  • Ensure customers’ expectations are fulfilled.
  • Interrogate and continually improve project processes.
  • Apply new technology in an innovative way to create new services and streamline delivery processes.
  • Mentor Site Agents and Engineers, and identify training needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to enable them to maximise the value of their infrastructure.
  • Creating site designs for various site types.
  • Quality control of drawings.
Requirements:
  • Civils, drainage or utilities experience.
  • The successful candidate preferably to have a qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Good I.T. and communications skills.
  • Experience in dealing with site activities and multiple teams.
  • Team player.
