The Role Involves:
Project planning, project design, project management and project delivery. Monitoring the contractors progress in respect to programme and ensuring milestones are achieved. Managing costs, risks, health & safety and compliance. Maintaining accurate records and generating timely reports. Liaising with the many and diverse stakeholders including; local authorities, land owners, etc.
To be considered for the role you must:
Be Degree (level 8) qualified Engineer, Project Manager (or similar) OR hold a recognised qualification in Safety.
Have more than 5 years post graduate experience in civil / rail infrastructure design and or construction (earthworks, roads, rail, pipelines, telecoms, signalling, etc).
Have relevant experience in; design / project management / cost-control and similar.
Have strong communications, negotiation and influencing skills.
Be competent and professional in dealing with diverse stakeholders.
Have thorough knowledge of health & safety regulations and legislation.
Have good knowledge of construction contracts.
Have a proven ability to manage and control agreed budgets and timelines.
Be proficient in the English language (spoken, written, technical).
Have experience dealing with Local Authorities and Government Agencies.
Have excellent team leading / management skills.
Ideally you will:
Have relevant experience in large modern rail infrastructure design / construction.
Have experience in one or more of the following roles; Project Manager / Project Engineer / Design Engineer / Resident Engineer / Quantity Surveyor / Document Controller / Safety Officer.
Be a chartered engineer or similar professional membership.
Be a competent and forensic records keeper and report writer.
Have strong IT skills and be proficient in MS office.
Permanent status roles. Remuneration is negotiable depending on the qualifications, experience, suitability and fit of the candidates, however, the ideal senior candidates can expect c €90,000 per annum. Benefits include 24+ annual leave days.
