As Purchasing Manager, you will be charged with procuring a substantial portfolio of materials and plant for all sites nationwide. This is a full-time permanent position based at our head office in Tullamore and a great opportunity to join a growing, dynamic team in one of Ireland’s most successful contractors.
Your key responsibilities as Purchasing Manager are outlined below:

• Develop a strategic purchasing strategy establishing goals and KPIs.
• Establishing new key suppliers across all areas.
• Vetting the existing supply chain to ensure the company is attaining the best value for money.
• Building and maintaining relationships with the supply chain.
• Interfacing with the accounts department in the timely management of Purchase Orders, budgets, and cashflow.
• Reporting back to the Senior Management team.
• Research alternative and best value products where appropriate.
• Collating packages and negotiating with suppliers.
• Interfacing closely with Site Teams to ensure the timely ordering of materials and delivery.

Key Requirements:

• Third-level degree qualified preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ experience with strong construction materials Knowledge is essential
• Experienced negotiator
