OUR CLIENT:
Our client are an Irish owned construction consultancy practice providing a full spectrum of services from cost management to sustainability advice across all industry sectors. They have a genuine and strong reputation in the Industry involved in a range of sectors covering hotels, leisure, offices, high end residential, schools, healthcare, infrastructure, colleges and industrial.
THE ROLE:
Junior PQS based out of the companies south Dublin Office.
DUTIES:
The role is that of a junior PQS under the control and supervision and indeed mentorship of a senior PQS.
As a PQS, you'll be required to work with Bills of Quantity, take measurements and oversee projects from concept to completion by representing the client's interests. You'll supply clients with cost information during design development which will be used as the basis for on-site cost management. You'll offer value-engineering solutions and options for clients relating to the design, material, construction, procurement and programming of the specified project. You'll administer the contractual and commercial procedures, relating to payments, on site. This may include but is not exclusive to variations, change orders, notices and financial reporting.
REQUIREMENTS:
You'll have approx. two years post grad experience working as a PQS, preferably within a cost consultancy practice.
You will have desire to become chartered and over time see projects from concept to completion whilst representing the client's best interest.
The company will pay an attractive remuneration for the right candidate. The role also offers a strong career path.
