Intermediate Civils Quantity Surveyor
This is a good opportunity for a mid level QS looking to develop their experience.
Our client is part of an Infrastructure Group and is a leading Irish provider of design, construct and commission services for clients across a wide range of engineering and infrastructure sectors including mainline railway systems, light rail and utilities.
They are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role preferably with a background in one of the following sectors - Rail, Telecoms, Civil Engineering or Construction.
Opportunities to progress within the company are strong as well as further training and educational opportunities.
You will work directly with a Managing Quantity Surveyor for initial guidance
The role will entail both office and site work and will include an aspect of tendering and estimation.
The company is looking for the right individual who can grow within the role as the company expands. Typical values project values would range between €1 and €10 million euro.
Typical Duties:
Allocating work to subcontractors
Raising Quotations for works to be carried
Invoicing for works completed, arranging payments
Site Valuations
Attending Site Meetings and Progress Meetings
Writing cost reports and financial summaries
Maintaining variations
Performing risk and value management and cost control
Requirements:
Approx 3 years’ relevant experience and 3rd level qualification
Ability to work well under pressure and make decisions within a fast-paced environment
Have the ability to multitask, prioritise, meet deadlines and manage time efficiently
Excellent IT skills are a must for this position, specifically Excel
