One of Irelands most recognised civil engineering main contractors, who have recently been awarded a €10Mil road scheme in Donegal, currently have an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to initially work on this project and then move onto another large road scheme in the area.
Long term work in the North west of Ireland..
What you’ll need to have:
The successful candidate will have a construction / Civil engineering / Quantity surveying degree, 6+ years experience working as a quantity surveyor on heavy civil projects, with particularly roads experience being a distinct advantage.
What you’ll be doing:
• Preparation and estimating of tenders for submission
• Preparation and monitoring of works programmes
• Interim valuations and final accounts
• Attend site progress and cost meetings and liaising with sub-contractors
• Taking contracts from procurement through to final accounts
• Primarily focused on managing the profitability of projects
What you’ll get in return:
Salary will be in the region of €50,000 - €60,000, which will be fully negotiable depending on experience, along with a full benefits package, including, car, laptop, phone, healthcare, pension, etc.
