Quantity Surveyor

O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of Our Client, a construction services provider.

This is a Co. Galway based role, and the successful candidate must have a Quantity Surveying degree, with a minimum of 3 years’ industry experience.

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

• Communicate, liaise, and report to senior management.
• Tendering for projects (potential and existing clients)
• Monthly valuation on all live jobs
• Final account of all live jobs
• Liaising with contracts manager / site manager on works carried out, contract works, variations, PC Sums
• Diving contracts into packages and issuing to subcontractors for pricing
• Issuing of materials lists to suppliers and ordering of materials
• Liaising with directors on payments to sub-contractors.

Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

• Relevant third level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• At least 3 years continuous experience in this area
• Strong measurement, subcontractor procurement and negotiation skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Abilities to work well with Customers, design team members and site-based work colleagues and to build strong working relationships.
• Good communication, presentation and writing skills.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent IT skills and have working knowledge of Buildsoft, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Project experience.
• Full clean Irish driver’s license.
