Quantity Surveyor – Kerry
Euro Executive Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join a Kerry based Engineering firm. This position will suit candidates with 3+ years of experience keen to apply their professional skills and experience in a busy and dynamic environment. The position will be based full time out of our clients Killarney operations.
The Role: 
  • Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials & labour requirement
  • Provide accurate, detailed tenders for projects, negotiating & agreeing terms on behalf of our client
  • Develop and maintain library of costs / rates for standard products
  • Review, execute and manage contract documentation
  • Liaise with architects, engineers & main contractors to support development of cost plans
  • Undertake management of projects liaising with clients, from quotation through to installation
  • Communication & management of variations / dayworks
  • Monitor projects & communicate any relevant matters to affected parties
  • Ensure timely management & closure of progress accounts
  • Develop cost analysis & report on same following completion of jobs
  • Build & maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and consultants
  • Work to a high level of confidentiality
  • Collaborate with the Research & Development Department on costing potential projects
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and EN1090.
  • Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying
  • Proven, extensive project management, quantity surveying and estimating experience
  • In-depth practical knowledge of steel materials
  • Demonstrable experience in working with architectural metal works
  • Proven ability to think analytically with strong decision making skills
  • Strong budgeting & financial management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and proven ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and be flexible to move between projects.
