Quantity Surveyor - New Mental Health unit

The Main Contractor:
Based in the North West of Ireland, a well-known building main contractor, working on both civil and building projects across Ireland.


Due to the recent award of the New Mental Health unit in Sligo Hospital, they have a current need for a Site based Quantity Surveyor to join them in Sligo on this project.


 
Quantity Surveyor Skill set:
The successful candidate will have a Construction / Civil engineering / Quantity surveying degree, with 3-5 years experience of managing multi million euro building works and able to take on-site measurements.


Key experience will include, cost management, Construction Programme management, Preparing and issue tender packages, valuations, variations & final accounts.



As Quantity Surveyor, the main duties will include:
  • Preparation and estimating of tenders for submission
  • Preparation and monitoring of works programmes
  • Interim valuations and final accounts
  • Attend site progress and cost meetings and liaising with sub-contractors
  • Taking contracts from procurement through to final accounts
  • Primarily focused on managing the profitability of projects


The Remuneration Package:
An excellent package will be put in place for the successful candidate, the base salary for the position will be €60,000 - €70,000 (Neg) + Package, depending on experience.
