Our client is a leading Construction Main Contractor with multiple projects in Ireland They have an ambitious mindset with continuous year on year growth.

They are involved in the construction of high value Building Infrastructure for High Tech clients, which they build as a complete package from enabling/civil works through structural build, M&E installation and commissioning to final client handover.

They are seeking a senior quantity surveyor from either a main of subcontractor background for a 200 million DC Development in west Dublin.

The position would very much suit a QS travelling in from Carlow, Kildare, Wicklow Midlands or living in Lucan/Leixlip/West/South Dublin. It will offer a consistent work location for at least 4 years on the one site and potentially longer.

Potential to work from home 1 or 2 days per week after an initial bedding in period

DUTIES

Responsible for cost management on the project
Preparing tender and contract documentation.
Preparing payment certificates in accordance with company systems and procedures.
Management of the change control process.
Liaising with client and design team.
Appointing and managing subcontractors and suppliers.
Undertaking cost analysis of subcontractor packages.
Performing risk, value management and cost control

REQUIREMENTS

The role would suit a candidate coming from a civils or building background with experience with main contractor. Might also suit a hands-on candidate from the professional side who wants to gain experience with a Main contractor or on Data Centers.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a main contractor environment

• Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management

• Contractually and commercially astute.

• Ability to work to tight deadlines

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

The salary , overall package and bonuses on offer for this role will be commensurate both with current market conditions and the experience of the candidate.
