Site Engineer – Galway
Our client is a main contractor with a significant pipeline of work in the West and South of the country
They currently require a site engineer for a residential project consisting of both apartment and housing construction with a considerable amount of RC works involved.
You will report to the Project Manager and work closely with the site manager, Coordinator, and Subcontractors.
Duties:
Setting Out
Ordering Materials
Document Control
Maintaining QA systems on site.
Material Requisitions.
Support Project Manager with day to day running of Project.
The ideal candidate will be competent in the use of instruments for the purposes of setting out and gathering information (total station, GPS and laser level) Mobilizing and Coordination of sub-contractors on site.
The successful candidate should also be competent using Microsoft word, excel and outlook and be good with paperwork.
Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate making sure the work performed and materials used are as specified in the contract.
Overseeing quality control measures on the site liaising with subcontractors, clients and other professional staff
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
Proven experience and track record of setting out on projects from inception to completion.
Must have at least 2+ years’ experience working as a Site Engineer
Experience reporting into senior management level on Technical and site commercial issues
Ability to priorities workload
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Pro-active approach.
