Estimating/Business Development Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:
Support all members of the Work Winning department from receipt of tender documents until award or notification of being unsuccessful.
Activities to include:
Carry out the role of secretary to Managing Director and Work Winning Director
Prepare and format tender/PQQ presentations for submission.
Assist Tender Enquiry Manager with processing and issuing sub-contractor and supplier enquiries using tender enquiry system.
Upload information to online portals
Electronically file all quotations and supply chain correspondence
Chase supply chain for outstanding quotations as instructed by the Estimators /Bid Manager
Update Data Sheets for supply chain feedback once tender has been submitted and again when final results are available on all tenders
General administration within the department, e.g Typing letters, Downloading and Uploading Tender information from web portals, formatting documents for submission
Any other ad-hoc duties

Necessary skills and requirements:
Secretarial and/or administrative experience preferably within the construction environment.
Previous work experience in a Pre Construction department would be a distinct advantage.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Visio, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Highly organised and able to work on own initiative
Excellent team working skills, and able to build relationships at all levels
Ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales
Very strong customer focus
