Our client is a leading Construction Main Contractor with multiple projects in Ireland They have an ambitious mindset with continuous year on year growth.
They are involved in the construction of high value Building Infrastructure for High Tech clients, which they build as a complete package from enabling/civil works through structural build, M&E installation and commissioning to final client handover.

They are seeking an Environmental Engineer/officer to be responsible for environmental compliance on one of their largest long-term projects in the Dublin Region
You will develop standards and policies to support regulatory compliance, complete environmental performance analysis, establish and monitor metrics, and guide the teams in implementation of environmental standards. You will provide guidance and build effective relationships with internal and external partners, including government entities, contractors, consultants, design, construction, operations and other key stakeholders.

Duties:
Develop regional strategic programs by integrating with engineering, construction, and operations;
Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the project(s)
Ensure work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees is completed in accordance with environmental standards
Conduct environmental audits for continuous improvement;
Prioritize and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently;
Represent the company appropriate levels
Build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately;
Submit time-critical reports to various governmental agencies;
Complete thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports and develop appropriate corrective action.

Requirements:
Third level qualification in environmental science, chemical or environmental science or similar
5+ years of experience
Experience with regulatory assessments, air emissions evaluations, construction activities water discharge requirements, and waste management;
This is a full time, permanent position within the company and salary will be in line with the experience of the candidate.
