Alpine Recruitment is seeking a Datacentre QA/QC Engineer x2 for an established T1 Contractor in Dublin, Ireland. Job Description:
Review and verify compliance of MEP installations with design specifications, codes, and industry standards. Meticulous inspect, document, and collaborate with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and teams to maintain the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and performance. Contributor to the successful and high-quality completion of the construction project.

Responsibilities:
  • Design Documents:  Review MEP design plans and specifications to ensure they comply with industry standards, local building codes, and client requirements.
  • Quality Standards Compliance: Ensure that all MEP installations, materials, and workmanship meet or exceed the quality standards set for the project. This involves conducting regular inspections and audits.
  • Material, Equipment Inspection & Compliance: Inspect all MEP materials and equipment to ensure they are of the right quality, properly stored, handled, and installed as per manufacturer specifications. Ensure that all MEP work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and best practices, with a focus on preventing accidents and hazards.
  • Document Control: Maintain and organise all project-related documents, including design drawings, specifications, test reports, and inspection records. Create reports detailing the quality status of MEP work.
  • Site Inspections, Testing and Commissioning: Schedule site visits to inspect MEP installations in progress. Verify that work is being carried out as per the approved plans and within tolerances. Oversee and coordinate the testing and commissioning of MEP systems, which includes functional testing, performance testing, and documentation of results.
  • Deficiency Identification: Identify and document deficiencies, deviations, and non-compliance issues in MEP installations and work with the construction team to rectify these problems promptly.
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Monitor the work of subcontractors to ensure they meet quality standards and contractual obligations in their respective MEP scopes.
  • Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with project stakeholders, including contractors, architects, engineers, and clients, to address quality concerns and provide updates on QA/QC activities.
  • Project Closeout: Facilitate the closeout process by ensuring all quality-related documentation is complete and that the MEP systems are fully operational and meet performance requirements.
 
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years QA/QC experience in construction, preferably with data center knowledge.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction codes and industry standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Analytical abilities for data interpretation and problem-solving.
  • Strong organisational skills for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Safety-conscious mindset and ability to address safety concerns.
  • Proficiency in quality control software and IT tools.
  • Collaborative team player with adaptability to changing project needs.
