Our client, one of Ireland's leading contractors, requires a Project Manager to oversee a large residential project in the Carrickmines / Shankill area South Co. Dublin.
Two year program where you will project manage the build & completion of over 300 high-rise apartments.
Ideally the Project Manager will already have worked in a managerial capacity on large-scale building projects for established contractors in Ireland or the U.K.
Your team will include Site Managers, Foremen, Engineers, QS’s, H&S, QA, and Admin.
You will chair Design & Subcontractor meetings with overall responsibility for the safe & timely execution of the works in accordance with the budgetary, programme and quality requirements. Previous high-rise experience preferred. Report to on-site Contracts Manager who works mostly with Client so you have responsibility of the day-to-day running of project.
This position may also suit a Site Manager / Senior Engineer looking to progress their career with a guiding hand as and when required.
Resolve unexpected technical or site related issues as they arise
Ensuring contractors on site execute works as per method statement
Acting as the main technical adviser on site for subcontractors, crafts people and operatives
Assisting with the selection and requisition of materials and plant
Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client/architect
Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors
Planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines
Overseeing quality control, health and safety matters on site
Manage the interface with the client & design teams to ensure & maintain a good working relationship
Degree/Diploma Qualified or Trade qualified
IT literate with commercial & contractual focus
Good leadership & communication skills
Client & design team facing
Thorough knowledge of building practices and regulations
