Senior Project Manager Health Care - Limerick

Job Summary:
Our client, a leader in the construction industry both in Ireland and across Europe specialising in Pharma, Data, ICT and Health Care projects seek a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the construction of a significant health care project, in Limerick.  

The Project manager will work closely with the Regional Director, Assistant Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor (QS), and Engineering team to ensure the successful delivery of the project in line with established standards, timelines, and budget constraints. The Project Manager will be responsible for driving the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) strategy, maintaining strong relationships with both direct and indirect staff, and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborative Management: Work closely with the Regional Director, Assistant Project Manager, QS, and Engineering team to foster effective collaboration and communication throughout all project phases. Manage relationships with consultants and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and integrated project delivery approach.
  • BIM Strategy Implementation: Oversee the successful implementation of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) strategy, ensuring that project teams adhere to established BIM standards and practices. Provide guidance and support to both direct and indirect staff to optimise the utilisation of BIM technologies.
  • Project Delivery Oversight: Monitor and ensure the timely delivery of project stages according to the Project Execution Plan (PEP), budget constraints, and other specified criteria. Conduct regular assessments and reporting on project progress, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Quality and Compliance: Drive a culture of quality delivery, emphasising adherence to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards. Implement and monitor initiatives related to zero emissions, ensuring the project aligns with sustainability goals.
  • Financial Management: Take responsibility for financial aspects of the project, including budget preparation, cost tracking, and forecasting. Collaborate with the Quantity Surveyor to manage project finances effectively, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with key stakeholders, including hospital administrators, regulatory bodies, and local community representatives. Provide regular updates and presentations on project status, addressing concerns, and proactively managing expectations.
 
 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager in hospital construction or similar complex projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its application in construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and project management skills.
  • Excellent team collaboration and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
