Redlough Landscapes Limited are currently recruiting for a Landscape Construction Estimator for our Development Department. The successful candidate will join our team based at our Head Office in Dublin 15.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:
An opportunity has arisen for a Landscape Construction Estimator to take responsibility for commercial hard and soft landscaping projects, throughout Ireland.
You will be involved in tenders for all landscape projects.
Lead Generation: we have a constant flow of price requests from main contractors which need to be priced and returned.  Compliance submissions are also required.  Leads also come from CIS database which is used to make proactive enquiries. We also tender for public work through etenders.ie portal.
We are looking for an individual who can bring expertise, experience and fresh ideas to the team, becoming integral to the future growth of the company.
Duties will include preparing detailed and timely tenders based on drawings, specifications, bills of quantities in order to secure profitable order book.
  • Analysing clients BOQs and returning prices
  • Collating quotations to calculate materials, equipment and labour costs
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Utilising several computing packages and online tendering portals
  • Preparing and submitting compliant tenders to meet required deadlines
  • Pre-contract meetings on site, and subsequent hand over to operations department. 
  • Project cost control
  • Measure and record site information
  • Duties including measurements, valuation and agreement of work sections
  • Support the onsite team with cost control, cost reporting and forecasting                                     
 
 
 
 
 
 
Candidate profile:
  • Previous experience in estimating is a minimum requirement with a relevant Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering a bonus.
  • Landscaping experience at any level would be preferable but not necessary.
  • Proficient IT skills, estimating software, Microsoft Excel. etc.
  • Excellent budget management and punctual reporting deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good awareness of tendering and the estimating process
  • Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
  • Able to demonstrate professional communications at all levels
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
